Job Title: Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics to join our team at Penn State University.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track position with a 60% research and 40% teaching responsibility. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program focused on agribusiness management and firm behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a research program focused on agribusiness management and firm behavior
  • Teach two courses per year in the Agribusiness Management undergraduate major and one course per year in the Energy, Environmental, and Food Economics graduate program
  • Mentor graduate students
Qualifications

Ph.D. in applied or general economics, or related field, with experience in research and competing for grants on agricultural economics topics preferred.

Excellent quantitative and communication skills, and the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
