Position Summary
The Structural Foreman will oversee and guide the activities of structural fitters and welders, ensuring the efficient assembly of structural modules ready for shipment and reassembly, under the supervision of the Fabrication Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
• Assemble and lead teams for structural projects.
• Assess crew members' training levels and coordinate necessary training.
• Familiarize with all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and production guidelines.
• Collaborate with the superintendent to meet production schedules and training needs.
• Supervise tasks to ensure accuracy in layout and cutting to minimize rework.
• Uphold company policies regarding SOPs, assembly procedures, and safety regulations.
• Strive for operational improvements to enhance safety and reduce labor hours.
• Work closely with the Engineering Department on solutions and revisions.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Address both company and customer requirements effectively.
• Utilize resources for project completion, including QAQC inspections and superintendent approvals.
• Participate in daily shift transitions with comprehensive verbal and written updates.
• Monitor material usage for accuracy in projects.
• Maintain the fabrication shop and oversee all activities.
• Ensure correct loading of modules for transport, including proper labeling and safety stickers.
• Be part of the load-out team, ensuring safe departure of transport vehicles.
• Oversee staging of structural assemblies and parts according to specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness in laydown areas and minimize debris.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or GED.
• 15+ years of experience in shipyard mechanical trades, with at least 5 years in a foreman role.
• 3+ years of welding experience in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW.

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of vocational technical training.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Work Environment
This role is based in a fabrication facility, with occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and mechanical parts. The noise level can be high, especially at construction sites.

Physical Requirements
Regular communication is required, along with frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and requires various vision capabilities.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.

Travel Requirements
Local travel may be necessary during business hours.
