Job Title: Maintenance Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems, including circuit boards, pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes, and PLC's
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production machinery as required
  • Develop and administer controls-related training for maintenance technicians
  • Comply with all 5S and CI initiatives, including cross-training and moving to the work
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in repair and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, MCC, VFDs
  • 5 years' experience in electrical maintenance of plant production machinery and support systems preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley software, including RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and others
  • Knowledge of PC communication, including Ethernet and serial communications
  • Ability to use a computerized work order system (SAP a plus)
  • Time management and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
