HR Generalist Coordinator

We are currently seeking a skilled HR Generalist to provide support for all departments of our company. As a full-time, onsite position, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering human resources programs, including benefits, leave of absences, workers' compensation, OSHA, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, and payroll administration as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and execute human resources programs, including but not limited to benefits, leave of absences, workers' compensation, OSHA, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, and payroll administration as needed.
- Handle benefit inquiries from management, employees, and brokers.
- Assist with census data for required 5500 filings on both health and 401K plans.
- Review, track, and document compliance for active employees for mandatory training.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Perform routine tasks and assist with employee recruitment, candidate screening, interviews, new hire onboarding, and orientation.
- Maintain employee files and stay current with any mandatory employee training and certifications.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws with management and employees.
- Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings, training courses, and seminars.
- Prepare and process termination documentation and final pay.
- Respond to general agency requests.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Act as backup for HR Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as required, such as assisting with payroll data entry, timesheet approvals, and event coordination.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or similar role in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
- Ability to build rapport with all employees.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits and Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $54,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, employee wellness program, voluntary insurance policies, 401K, and paid sick time. The position is located in our corporate office in Garden Grove, CA, and requires a reliable commute to the office. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift, day shift, 8am – 5pm.
