Job Summary

Western Rock Products, a leading provider of construction materials, is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready mix truck to deliver concrete and other materials to construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a ready mix truck to deliver concrete and other materials to construction sites.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of materials to meet customer needs.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Verify the accuracy of mix specifications before loading and at the job site.
  • Align the mixer drum under the disbursement chute at the plant to receive product into the mixer truck drum.
  • Drive the ready mix truck to the location for unloading and operate the truck to release concrete down the truck chute into the area to be poured.
  • Clean the truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in the mixer and on the truck.
  • Place and operate chutes to deliver product where directed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • A valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or Class B.
  • A valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
