Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Parts Associate plays a crucial role in overseeing inventory management while ensuring precision in counts and product flow. This role significantly contributes to maintaining overall inventory accuracy for incoming products, customer returns, cycle counts, MRB activities, material handling, and various essential projects. Additionally, the Parts Associate is tasked with guaranteeing the quality of manufactured goods from receipt to final output by consistently evaluating processes and suggesting enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders, gather necessary parts for orders, and deliver them to designated work areas.
  • Engage in parts assembly and kit creation.
  • Receive and monitor incoming stock for accuracy.
  • Ensure proper delivery of tanks to work areas following FIFO principles.
  • Assist in inventory oversight to maintain adequate stock levels for shipment or usage.
  • Receive components from suppliers, confirm quantities against packing lists, and organize them in designated areas.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials as required.
  • Maintain organization and labeling of parts.
  • Evaluate the quality of stored materials to ensure compliance with company standards and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts; conduct accuracy checks including quantity, lot, and location confirmations.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and researching inventory transactions.
  • Process customer returns and notify management of returns, handling materials according to management directives.
  • Oversee the segregation and staging of non-conforming materials until resolution.
  • Collaborate with management to manage lot numbers and quantities to finalize any pending actions.
  • Ensure that labeling information for finished goods is accurate and complete.
  • Prepare reports detailing parts required for procurement.
  • Conduct data entry tasks using Sage X3 software.
  • Be open to undertaking additional projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in an ERP-focused manufacturing environment.
  • APICS certification is advantageous.
