Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Documentation: Clearly and concisely communicate patient assessment and reassessment on charting, ensuring documentation meets current standards, policies, and procedures.
- Age-Specific Care: Demonstrate knowledge and ability to care for the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Communication and Notification: Notify physicians if H&P, informed consent, or test results are not on the chart and/or signed.
- Medication Management: Observe behavioral and physiologic changes due to medications, take appropriate actions, and document accordingly.
- Core Measure and Meaningful Use: Ensure that core measure and meaningful use standards are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Anticipation and Preparation: Anticipate physicians' routine needs and provide such in a timely fashion.
- Medication Administration: Administer and document medications according to policy and procedures.
- Independent Judgment: Display the ability to exercise independent patient care judgment in collaboration with the team.
- Patient Education: Provide appropriate patient and family education.
- Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Florida required.
- Technical Skills: EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
