Special Service for Groups, Inc- HOPICS is a leading provider of supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to empower clients to achieve stability and independence through housing placement and coordination.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Homeless Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing supportive services to clients, including eligibility screenings, service coordination, and triage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits and community outreach to engage with clients and assess their needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized housing plans, working closely with clients to identify their unique challenges and goals.
  • Collaborate with other project staff and partners to provide housing placement services and supportive services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with funding requirements and agency policies.

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in social services or a related field is required; relevant work experience may be substituted.
  • A minimum of one year of job-related experience working with homeless individuals and families is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.

Salary: $25.50 - $26.50 per hour
