Job Summary: The Training Manager for Salon Operations plays a crucial role in driving salon performance, ensuring outstanding client service, and upholding operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity targets. This individual will oversee and mentor Tanning Consultants to achieve organizational objectives and will exemplify best practices in all salon operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily salon operations in a dynamic environment.
  • Lead by example to create a client-focused experience and meet sales goals.
  • Maintain a professional and pristine salon atmosphere.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
  • Provide coaching, training, and constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with additional managerial duties.
  • Support the Salon Director in managing revenue and expenses effectively.
  • Help maintain optimal staffing levels to ensure high productivity and excellent customer service while managing labor costs.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to commit to a 5-day workweek with approximately 35 to 45 hours per week based on employment status.

Experience Required:

  • Management and/or Sales experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend at the waist for cleaning purposes.
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting heavy items.
  • Capacity to bend down to pick up items from the floor.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
