Ductile Pipe Estimator

C&B Piping is seeking a skilled Ductile Pipe Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a vital role in helping us build and maintain relationships with our customers and engineers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing full package ductile iron estimates for water and wastewater products throughout the United States. This will involve reviewing engineering plans and specifications, working closely with engineers, owners, contractors, and our sales team to gather resources, and analyzing project specifications and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings to stay up-to-date on new product developments and changes to existing product lines.
- Communicate with customers to resolve specification/drawing discrepancies and provide accurate scopes.
- Analyze project specifications and plans to ensure accurate estimates.
- Request costs from partner suppliers to secure pricing data for each project.
- Complete estimates using a quotation system and estimating software.
- Distribute completed estimates to customers and sales teams.
Requirements:
- An Associate's Degree or higher in a related field is preferred, but individuals with 2 years of applicable estimating experience will be considered.
- Construction experience in water and wastewater is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook, is required.
- Previous experience using take-off tools is preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial sales or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience analyzing digital blueprints is a plus.
