Job Title: Epic Application Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Application Coordinator to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Information Systems (IS) department, you will play a critical role in the planning, design, build, validation, testing, and implementation of information systems that support and enhance clinical practice and business processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide systems analysis and support to meet assigned customer needs, including planning, designing, building, validating, testing, and implementing information systems.
  • Develop and implement data queries and reports as needed, and create and maintain high-quality system, report, and interface test scripts.
  • Assure data integrity and system survivability by developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery plans for assigned systems, and understanding and approving backup procedures.
  • Provide effective user training and support, and troubleshoot, problem analyze, debug, and resolve assigned system issues.
  • Perform system updates, patches, service releases, and upgrades as needed, and work to minimize systems outages and their effects on Hospital users.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience providing systems analysis support, with experience in healthcare environments preferred.
  • A clinical background in any discipline is highly desired, and pediatric experience or a nurse background is preferred for clinical applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are required to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Strong skills in the use of PC desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project are required.
