We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Apex Engineering Group. As a key member of our Transportation Group, you will be responsible for working on highway and urban roadway projects from planning to design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional civil engineering services, including planning, design, specifications, and project management.
  • Delegate and supervise project tasks to CADD Technicians, Graduate Engineers, and Field Technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients throughout all project phases.
  • Participate in business development, preparing proposals and participating in interviews to secure work for the firm.
  • Assume a leadership role in project management, including budgeting and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • MN or ND Professional Engineers License preferred or ability to be licensed within 6-12 months.
  • 5+ years of highway/roadway design experience.
  • Knowledge of MNDOT or NDDOT design and project development process.
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation Connect.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
