We are currently seeking a **Building Services Associate** to become a vital member of our Housekeeping team.

The Housekeeping team at the Field Museum plays an essential role in preserving the elegance and cleanliness of our historic facility for both visitors and staff. This team is tasked with ensuring that all public and administrative spaces are consistently clean and well-maintained.

This is a full-time position, requiring work five days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Vacuuming various areas
  • Damp wiping surfaces
  • Sanitizing restroom fixtures
  • Mopping floors
  • Completing special project tasks as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend and reach as necessary
  • Proficiency in following both verbal and written instructions
  • Experience with various cleaning tools, products, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with a readiness to assist visitors and staff when needed
