CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

• Take Beverage Orders: Take orders from serving staff or directly from guests, ensuring that all drinks are prepared to their liking.
• Verify Age Requirements: Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
• Communicate Effectively: Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language at all times.
• Provide Excellent Service: Make guests feel appreciated through your actions, ensuring that they feel valued and respected.
• Count Drinks: Count drinks served to ensure accuracy and prevent over-serving.
• Be Attentive: Offer your assistance before guests have to ask for it, ensuring that their needs are met promptly.
• Work as a Team: Work collaboratively with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient food and beverage service.
• Collect Payment: Collect payment for drinks served, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Mix Ingredients: Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve Wine and Beer: Serve wine and bottled or draft beer, ensuring that all beverages are presented in a clean and attractive manner.
• Limit Problems: Limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guests.
• Prep Bar Ingredients: Prepare bar ingredients made in-house, such as simple syrups and sweet and sour mix.
• Clean and Restock: Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment, restocking glassware from the dishwasher.
• Remove Recycling: Remove recycling full of empty bottles, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Clean Bars and Work Areas: Clean bars, work areas, and tables, ensuring that all areas are clean and free of clutter.
• Balance Cash Drawer: Balance cash drawer when shift is completed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Alcohol Service Certification: Possess a valid alcohol service certification, such as TIPS or ABC.
• Basic Mathematical Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills, including the ability to handle money and give correct change.
• Basic Reading Skills: Possess basic reading skills, including the ability to read and understand menus and other written materials.
• Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, including the ability to use a point-of-sale system and other software applications.
• Knowledge of Beer, Wine, and Spirits: Possess knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including standard drink recipes and preparation methods.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
