About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Check Out Procedures: Assist patients with check out procedures, including scheduling follow-up appointments and collecting deductibles and co-pays.
  • Clinical Support: Assist physicians and resident physicians with physical examinations, obtain laboratory specimens, and prepare them for transport.
  • Clerical Support: Provide administrative support, including maintaining systematic initiation and follow-up of scheduled events.
  • Confidentiality and Safety: Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to safety practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Six months to one year of physician office experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
