We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support services to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and monitor medications, as well as refill prescriptions as needed.
- Provide nursing duties to tele-psychiatry physicians, including taking vitals and briefing physicians on patient needs.
- Assist with Prior Authorization Medication Forms and use electronic medical records to research medications.
- Document services in clinical records according to quality assurance standards and agency policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Successful completion of an approved nursing education program for professional nursing or an equivalent course of study from an approved nursing education program.
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and related experience.
- Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the SC Board of Nursing.
- Experience working with psychiatric patients, third-party payers, and prior authorization of medication and treatment.
- Health, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance for employees and their families.
- 15 days annual leave accrual per year.
