Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Driller Assistant to join our team at TranSystems. As a key member of our drilling operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Driller in performing geotechnical drilling operations in diverse subsurface conditions and terrain.
  • Maintain, inspect, and repair vehicles and drilling equipment in the shop and field.
  • Load and transport drilling equipment and materials to and from project sites as required.
  • Meet production requirements and utilization goals.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, drillers, inspectors, clients, and supervisors as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and general condition of drill rigs and other equipment.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment and compliance with site safety plans.
  • Operate DOT-regulated vehicles and maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid PA Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform high-quality work in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and safely.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to actively engage multiple perspectives when solving problems and encourage reciprocal learning among team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency working with hand/power tools and associated mechanical skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • CDL License (a plus).
