We are seeking a highly skilled Family Educator to join our team at Family Services Inc. The successful candidate will provide supervised family visitation and parenting education to children and non-custodial parents, while also facilitating case management and supportive counseling to families referred by the Department of Social Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support families in mastering parenting skills through supervised family visitation and the Nurturing Program curriculum.
- Maintain accurate visit records, documentation, and reports.
- Collaborate with DSS preventive and CPS workers, and other service providers to ensure family cooperation with mandated services and child service needs.
- Provide transportation to parents and children for visits and services in personal vehicle, as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work irregular hours and under extreme pressure.

Work Environment:
