Position Overview:

The role involves the assembly of both fabricated and procured mechanical components to construct advanced recycling machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and disassemble a variety of mechanical parts with precision.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, measurements, and engineering parts lists to ensure accurate machine assembly.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely to facilitate mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Employ tools such as files, grinders, and sanders to achieve the correct fit between components.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
  • Demonstrate basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Adhere to all procedural guidelines and maintain documentation as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

This position is set in a heavy industrial environment, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment. While fulfilling the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Stand for prolonged periods.
  • Sit, stoop, and bend as needed.
  • Reach above shoulder height.
  • Lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds.
