As a key member of the MedStar Health leadership team, this senior-level role requires a strong leader who can create a practice environment that exemplifies patient-centered care and implements a patient and nursing care delivery system that prioritizes quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational, personnel, and financial activities of the specified units or departments, ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing practice and maintaining a therapeutic and safe environment of care delivery. This role requires a collaborative leader who can build trusting relationships with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and leaders of other departments to enhance collaboration and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of shared governance and promote associate satisfaction through regular feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with the nursing leadership team to develop and implement departmental goals that support the nursing strategic plan.
- Hire, evaluate, coach, mentor, and develop associates to achieve behaviors aligned with MEDSTAR HEALTH's vision, mission, and values.
- Ensure compliance with unit, divisional, hospital, and facility policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of nursing experience; 1-2 years of management and leadership experience preferred.
- RN licensure and/or compact state licensure in the District of Columbia required.
Estimated Salary Range: $118,331 - $230,172 annually.
