MJ Care Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Director - Occupational Therapist to lead our rehabilitation services team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our contract sites and personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide direct patient treatment, ensuring a minimum of 60% of total hours are dedicated to patient care.
- Communication: Collaborate with Area Managers to promote community awareness of therapy services, establish relationships with facility administrators and staff, and facilitate effective communication with individuals involved.
- Staffing and Hiring: Consult with Area Managers on staffing needs, provide evidence of need for present and/or additional staff, and assist in the hiring process for rehab staff.
- Nurturing and Coaching: Recognize, support, and offer constructive feedback to all rehab staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Staff Evaluation and Performance Review: Evaluate the performance of all rehab staff with the assistance of Area Managers and consultants, ensuring accurate and complete clinical documentation.
- Fiscal Responsibilities: Assist in developing budgets, analyze productivity, monitor utilization of department resources, and authorize/approve overtime, if applicable.
- Level II Access: Protect access of Personal Health Information specific to patients receiving evaluations, screenings, consultations, and therapy services within assigned facilities.
- Graduated from an accredited Therapist program.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as an OTR, including a minimum of 1 year of experience as a supervisor.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills at the managerial level.
- Experience in business management preferred.
- Adequate senses to safely and effectively treat patients or assist in emergency situations.
- Light physical demand level, exertion of force up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to diffuse emotional situations and promote harmony within the department.
- Per individual state requirements, NBCOT certification is required.
