Job Summary

The Frozen Warehouse Forklift Operator is a critical role within Harlan Bakeries, responsible for ensuring the efficient removal of product lines while maintaining proper rotation. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) guidelines.
  • Operate a stand-up forklift in and out of the warehouse, loading trailers with pallets and ensuring all product is in good shippable condition.
  • Accurately locate and store product in respective racks, and pick and stage product for loads while maintaining proper rotation.
  • Assist with special projects as needed, and participate in month and year-end inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with production department to maintain efficient operation, and comply with all regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 months of experience working in a production, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to use a Scissor lift for inventory maintenance, and obtain forklift certification.
  • Physical ability to handle product and pallets weighing up to 60 lb.
  • Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment, and GMP compliant environment.
  • Able to work at heights up to 30 feet, and exhibit a positive attitude within a team environment.
