Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Inpatient to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products within our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Ensure that medication orders are consistent with current medical practice, FDA and drug manufacture recommendations, current literature, and/or other information sources.
  • Collaboration: Resolve variations from the above standards with members of the Medical Staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Education and Guidance: Provide information and guidance in the proper administration of medications as necessary for healthcare providers, patients, and family.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an acceptable school of pharmacy with an emphasis on health-systems pharmacy.
  • Experience: Two years of work experience in health-systems pharmacy or educational equivalent.
  • Licensure: Current and valid California Pharmacy License.
  • Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification required for pharmacists scheduled to work in CCU (otherwise preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Pharm. D.
  • Specialized Certifications: DRV LIC; CT CPR; BLS; ACLS.
