Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Associate to join our team at Dominican Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products within our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute pharmaceutical products in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that medication orders are consistent with current medical practice, FDA and drug manufacturer recommendations, and current literature.
  • Resolve variations from established standards with members of the Medical Staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide information and guidance on the proper administration of medications to healthcare providers, patients, and families.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' work experience in health-systems pharmacy or educational equivalent.
  • Graduate of an acceptable school of pharmacy with an emphasis on health-systems pharmacy.
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the state of California.
  • Basic understanding of personal computers and computer systems in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PharmD degree.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
