Job Summary:

Butler America is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the analysis and redesign of Head Up Guidance Systems cast aluminum chassis components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in working with complex cast aluminum parts in a regulated avionics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex cast aluminum parts to determine the impact of vendor non-conformances
• Review aluminum castings measurement data and compare it against models and drawing requirements
• Determine any impacts to the Form, Fit or Function of the part
• Perform work in a regulated avionics quality and configuration management environment
• Determine and implement design and drawing updates as well as review vendor changes associated with those design updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree
• 6+ years of engineering design experience
• Advanced skills in GD&T - read and interpret prints per ASME Y14.5
• Experience with tightly toleranced investment castings
• Experience working in a quality-controlled environment
