The ideal candidate will have a CDL class A license and an exceptional driving record. They will be available to work long hours, weekends, and holidays, and be able to work in all types of weather. Experience loading flatbed trailers is a plus, and experience with tilt bed trailers is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Load flat bed and tilt bed trailers
  • Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
  • Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services
  • Check load-related documentation to ensure it's complete and accurate
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Drive trucks with capacities greater than 13 tons
  • Secure cargo for transport
  • Read bills of lading to determine assignment details
  • Lift production objects up to 50 lbs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • CDL class A license
  • Exceptional driving record
  • Availability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
  • Experience loading flatbed trailers
  • Experience with tilt bed trailers (a plus)
