Speech Therapist II, Inpatient, On Call

As a seasoned Speech Therapist II, you will provide expert diagnosis and treatment of complex communication disorders for adults and children. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee the work of entry-level staff. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about supporting community programs and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and administer diagnostic tests to identify communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairments, and neurological defects. Provide individualized treatment plans and advise physicians and caregivers on test results.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans. Provide training and guidance to junior therapists and participate in staff development programs.
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Identify opportunities to contain costs and improve services.
- Assist with community programs and serve as a consultant on interdisciplinary teams.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of previous experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Speech-Language Pathologist License (California)
- National Provider Identifier
- Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
