Job Overview

OHLA USA is a leading construction company that values innovation, safety, and sustainability. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Miami, FL.



The successful candidate will provide technical engineering and project control support on our heavy civil and transportation construction projects. This role will work closely with the Project Manager to implement policies and procedures required for project success.



Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Manage and process material deliveries, ensuring they meet contract specifications and are properly inspected for quantity and quality.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and material contracts.
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules.
  • Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
  • Maintain accurate records of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals.
  • Contribute to cost control system operations and analyze construction costs.
  • Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and cost accruals.
  • Prepare monthly pay estimates and process change orders and requests for information.
  • Adhere to OHLA USA policies and procedures, including safety protocols.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
  • Safety-oriented, with 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • FDOT experience strongly preferred.
