Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and child patients. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess and evaluate patient mental status, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the nurse therapist and multidisciplinary team.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating knowledge of each patient's condition and applying various therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate treatment plans.
- Document all relevant information on patient charts, including mental status and significant interactions.
- Provide support and education to family members and significant others regarding patient status and participate in discharge planning and referral, if necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
- BLS required.
