The primary responsibilities include:
- Oversee and organize work tasks for Control Systems Technicians and Leads
- Collaborate with diverse teams to support optimization of material handling equipment (MHE) systems
- Diagnose and maintain control systems for material handling
- Track MHE performance metrics and work alongside maintenance and operations teams to resolve system performance challenges
- Serve as a point of escalation for technical concerns
- Guide and mentor Control Systems Technicians and Leads
- Introduce process enhancements to prevent future issues
- Facilitate processes for Failure Analysis and Incident Review
- Engage with equipment vendors and parts suppliers for the integration of new technologies
- Convey technical challenges and project timelines to leadership
- Manage a variable workload and participate in conference calls related to automation engineering
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Amazon Blue Badge/FTE
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Familiarity with electrical principles, robotics, and control components
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Capability to lead teams in a technical capacity
- Demonstrated experience in providing remote technical support
- Experience with advanced automation control systems
