Job Summary: Responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality, and safe nursing care to all clients within the program(s).

Conducts monitoring, assessment, planning of care, intervention, and evaluation of the medical/nursing management of clients under the incumbent's care, as well as in all other levels of care as directed by the ACE Nurse Manager and/or ACE Team Leader.

May perform Charge Nurse duties, overseeing counselor assistants, certified nurse assistants, and other licensed staff to ensure the completion of all assigned tasks on the accountability sheet.

May also serve as Team Leader as designated by the ACE Nurse Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Valid CT RN license.
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • CPR & AED certification within six months of employment.
  • Accredited certification in Addictions Nursing (CARN) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or actively pursuing credentialing) is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in Psychiatric or Substance Abuse Treatment preferred.
  • Experience as a CNA, Mental Health Worker, or in a related field is desirable for newly graduated nurses.
