We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Clerk to join our team at Schwarz Partners. As a Customer Service Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and suppliers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Schedule and track orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Obtain release numbers and booking information from customers and suppliers, and enter necessary information into CieTrade or other software tracking systems.
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers and freight brokers, and schedule and track loads.
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers, customers, vendors, and team members via various channels.
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries for product information, availability, order status, pricing, and documentation.
  • Assist with tracking and scheduling of loads into the mill at the direction of the sales team and mill reps.
  • Issue release numbers on behalf of the mill.
  • Inventory tracking and physical inventory checks as needed at the mill and/or warehouses.
  • Collaborate with sales team, accounting group, and customer service team on a daily or as needed basis.
  • Resolve supplier and customer complaints or inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Pull reports as needed for the sales team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service background and administrative experience preferred.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a high level of confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
