We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician I to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Medical Laboratory Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform waived and non-waived tests in an accurate and timely manner, with supervision.
- Assist with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements.
- Process and prepare patient samples, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in the resolution of communication issues and promote positive communications that enhance teamwork.
- Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience.
- Meet other criteria defined in 42CFR, including US military medical laboratory procedures training courses.
- Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from IERF or other nationally recognized credentialing agency for review.
- Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy in departments where applicable.
- MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
- Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
- Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
