Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing laboratory testing procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span
  • Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required
  • Recent graduate from an approved MLT school is minimum experience required
  • Two to four years experience as a medical laboratory technician preferred
Additional Skills or Qualifications
  • Evidence of computer skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities

Work Environment

  • Full-time position
  • 80 hours per pay period
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts, 09:00-19:30
  • 1 out of 3 weekend rotation, 09:00-19:30
  • Liver Call: 7 additional weekend days a year, 05:30-19:30
