About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Commons Librarian to join our team. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver information literacy instruction to students and faculty, both in-person and online.
  • Provide research assistance and guidance to patrons, utilizing a range of resources and technologies.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate library research and information retrieval skills into their courses.
  • Design and maintain guides and resources to support student learning and research.
  • Supervise and train work-study students, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science from an accredited ALA program, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong commitment to information literacy instruction and demonstrated aptitude for teaching in multiple formats.
  • Ability to provide individual research assistance and instruction on the fly, in person, or online.
  • Experience with automated library systems and a working knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
  • Official transcript required.
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
