The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and wellness, with a minimum of five years of experience in a dietitian role. They will be responsible for developing and implementing nutrition and wellness programs, working closely with the Executive Chef and Supply Chain department to identify compliant and innovative menu items, and building relationships with stakeholders across the school district.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced dietitian to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of students in Duval County Public Schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition and wellness programs that meet the needs of students and staff
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Supply Chain department to identify compliant and innovative menu items
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the school district, including principals, students, peers, and vendors
  • Participate in senior leadership meetings and contribute to the development of company protocols related to risk management of food allergies and special diets
  • Conduct site visits for quality control and provide on-site nutritional support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of nutrition topics related to food service, college student health, and wellness
Qualifications
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of dietitian professional work experience required
  • Contract food service, schools, college, and business environments strongly preferred
