We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient storage, shipment, and receipt of our products, catering to the needs of fire sprinkler contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations within the distribution center.
  • Utilize handheld scanning devices to accurately track and deliver materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement of goods.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and maintain accurate records of findings.
  • Provide exceptional service to Will-Call customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Communicate backorder information to the Customer Service Department as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to all operational protocols and reporting any hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and documentation capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with product identification, including part numbers and descriptions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Proficient in operating lift trucks and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.
  • Experience with AS400 and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
Educational Background
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
