About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team at PDS Health. As a key member of our front office team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model our company culture and values by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for patients and guests.
  • Support the patient experience process by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring they are comfortable during their visit.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently to ensure each healthcare provider has a smooth and productive day.
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time.
  • Answer telephones in a timely manner and handle all calls with efficiency and thoroughness.
  • Ensure all tasks on the front office checklist are completed daily.
  • Post payments to patient accounts in accordance with company policies.
  • Be subject matter expert in practice management system with regards to patient registration, e-check in, and ensuring account information is accurate and up to date for each visit.
  • Confirm all patient appointments in accordance with office confirmation policies or a minimum of 2 days in advance.
  • Ensure all patient messages received from the contact center are returned and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and any other meetings as required.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Health brand by making decisions consistent with the PDS Health brand framework.
  • Become knowledgeable and support clinicians on patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances.
  • Results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient advocate with a flexible and adaptive approach.
  • Process-focused operator with a comprehensive knowledge of operational processes.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage tasks and time effectively.
  • Influencer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
