We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Crane Operator to join our team at Zenith Tech, a leading provider of heavy road and highway construction services in Southeast Wisconsin. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the large-scale technology project in Racine, WI.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload, ensuring the safety of crew members and equipment.
  2. Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
  3. Direct helpers in placing blocking or outrigging under cranes, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  4. Load or unload bundles from trucks or move containers to storage bins, using moving equipment efficiently.
  5. Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment, adhering to high standards of maintenance and housekeeping.
  6. Assist with repairs as needed, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, prioritizing workplace safety.

Requirements

  • A valid Driver's license and satisfactory driving record, ensuring reliable transportation to job sites.
  • A Class A CDL preferred, but not required, for flexibility in transporting equipment.
  • A CCO (Certified Crane Operator) certification, with lattice boom certification required for this position.
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent, with prior experience in pile driving, multi-line work, friction crane, and multi-crane lift highly valued.
  • Punctuality and dependability, with the ability to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments, showcasing resilience and adaptability.
