Wellstar Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team at Kennestone Hospital.
About the Role:We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiac Intervention & EP to work in our 23-bed Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring and treating adult patients during the intermediate and acute care phases of cardiac care management.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and treat adult patients with cardiac conditions, including status post PCI, high risk PCI, staged PCI, pacemaker/AICD placement, Ablation procedure, TAVR procedure, heart failure exacerbation symptoms, and cardiac arrhythmias.
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; planning; implementation and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours.
