Position Overview:

We are in search of a knowledgeable Senior Accounting Analyst to enhance the operations of our Financial Services Department. This role demands advanced technical skills and decision-making capabilities, including conducting second-level reviews of staff work. The Senior Accounting Analyst will assess existing processes and spearhead the implementation of new methodologies to boost efficiency and accuracy in accounting data. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the accuracy of accounting data by recording monthly entries, conducting account reconciliations, managing medical and benefit accounting, processing payroll, and completing various assigned projects.
  2. Maintaining the integrity of financial information through precise transaction recording.
  3. Overseeing a diverse range of detailed financial and administrative tasks across multiple projects of varying complexity.
  4. Maintaining the general ledger by preparing trial balances and reconciling accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, and payroll processes.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting, including knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with representatives from all departments within the organization.
  • Experience in public accounting and the healthcare industry is preferred.
