Job Role:
The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager with the daily management of retail activities. This position is vital in fostering a culture of excellence and ownership among the sales team. Success in this role is achieved through professionalism, friendliness, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Compensation:
$15.25 per hour, based on experience, plus bonuses and incentives.
Work Schedule:
Full Time with Benefits (up to 40 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage every customer sincerely.
- Proactively assist customers with their needs.
- Organize product displays to attract customer interest.
- Ensure the cleanliness and visual appeal of the store.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sales through upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor the premises to prevent theft and ensure safety.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to manage payroll effectively.
- Prepare timely sales reports and deposits.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.
- Communicate effectively with team members and corporate management.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail customer service.
- Proficient in computer operations within a PC environment.
- Ability to be bonded and maintain insurance coverage.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Compliance with licensing requirements where applicable.
Preferred:
- 4 years of experience in retail customer service.
- 2 years of experience in retail management.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires physical activities such as bending, standing, lifting, and walking. Candidates must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely and remain on their feet for extended periods.
Supervisory Functions:
This position involves moderate supervisory responsibilities, guiding the sales and maintenance staff to fulfill their duties effectively. Additional responsibilities may include providing input on hiring and training processes.
