Job Summary: The Medical Imaging Spec III demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in their department. They assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and provide the required care as described in the departments' policies and procedures.

This role is responsible for assisting Radiologists during all Special Procedures and exercising professional judgment in the performance of services while maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography, with a minimum of two years' experience in Special Procedures, and be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and advanced certification ARRT (VI) within 12 months of employment or transfer.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Assist Radiologists during all Special Procedures
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics
  • Provide health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment
  • Recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Documented competence specific to Special Procedures, minimum of two years as a radiographer
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and advanced certification ARRT (VI) within 12 months of employment or transfer
  • Licensed by the State of Nevada in Radiography
