Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Medical Imaging Spec III MRI , you will operate the MRI scanners to obtain images for use by the physician in diagnosing and treating pathologies.   • You will provide health care services by applying x-ray energy and pulsed radio frequency, and magnetic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • You will perform procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • You will exercise professional judgment in-service performance and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
  • You will Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successfully completing the procedure.
  • You will serve neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. 
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program and a member in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and advanced registration in MRI (ARRT) (MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Must be licensed by the State of Nevada in Radiography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
