The University of New Mexico seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Institutional Analytics to join its team. This key position plays a critical role in supporting data-informed decision making across the university, working closely with the Provost's Office, President's Office, and various schools and colleges.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the analysis and interpretation of faculty, employee, enrollment, financial aid, budget, and instructional activity data from enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain a suite of reports and dashboards for institutional leadership, including the President, Provost, and Deans.
- Collaborate with the Office of Assessment and Academic Program Review, as well as the Enrollment Management Reporting Team, to ensure stakeholders have access to clear, consistent, and accurate data for decision making.
- Provide data support for various university initiatives, including Complete College America Accelerator, Hispanic Serving Research Universities Alliance, and University Innovation Alliance.
- Oversee staff professional development and skill building, ensuring compliance with office and institutional reporting policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in a relevant setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
- Ability to gather and analyze statistical data, generate reports, and make recommendations based on research findings.
- Experience with database construction, management, and retrieval methods, as well as knowledge of student data, sponsored research program data, and faculty and staff HR data organization and retrieval.
