School Nutrition Aide

Part-Time Opportunity Available

Potential for Substitute Assignments


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation, packaging, and distribution of meals for students.
  • Handle cash transactions for meal services as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of funds collected for meals.
  • Ensure food preparation and dining areas meet and exceed health and safety standards.
  • Keep food service areas and equipment clean and organized.
  • Strive for high levels of satisfaction among students and staff.
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Manage inventory of food and supplies, ensuring timely requisitions.
  • Understand and implement health regulations and school nutrition policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in food service within an educational context.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse school populations.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Experience working with at-risk student populations.
