Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with special needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with special education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to reach their full potential.
- Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care, communication, and mobility, while maintaining their dignity and autonomy.
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document student performance and behavior accurately, providing valuable insights for teachers and other professionals.
- High school diploma or equivalent, and 48 hours of college credit.
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' academic and social growth.
- Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively in a team environment, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and meet any additional requirements set by the school or district.
