ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Technical Editing and Copywriting
  • Proficiency in writing according to the DHS Writing Style Guide or equivalent standards
  • Familiarity with the CISA House Style Guide and Writing Style Guide
  • Expertise in policy content writing aligned with NIST standards
  • Versatile writing experience across various platforms such as social media, emails, and presentations
  • Experience with Drupal content management system
  • Collaboration with an Executive Secretariat Team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience with DHA CISA

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

SECRET Clearance is mandatory

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

A Bachelor's degree or higher is required, along with PMP certification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Technical Editor will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and proofreading written materials to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and content integrity. This role includes the creation of style guides and templates, as well as collaboration with writers and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality content.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard work hours are typically during EST, Monday through Friday, with occasional requirements for weekends and holidays.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:

Occasional reimbursable travel may be necessary outside the local area, with limited trips authorized as needed.
