Job Summary:

The Oneida Nation is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat children with special needs, including articulation, receptive language, expressive language, pragmatic language, fluency, voice, and augmentative and alternative communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose children with special needs
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and design therapy within a child's least restrictive environment
• Monitor progress through data collection and consult with classroom teachers
• Provide in-service presentations to staff on communication delays and disorders
• Collaborate with a professional team, including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Special Education Teachers, and other pertinent staff

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, balancing, squatting, crawling, climbing heights, reaching above shoulder level, and repetitive movement of hands. The work is performed indoors and outdoors, and the noise level is high.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Certification or licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
