Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to address patient goals and objectives, ensuring effective communication and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between settings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Wisconsin.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform repetitive hand movements.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a fast-paced acute care environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Exposure to electrical and chemical hazards, as well as blood and body fluids, requiring proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May require travel, potentially exposing you to road and weather hazards.
